General tuition is the basic fee all students are assessed for enrollment in the University and is approved by the Board of Trustees of The Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning. This fee, together with the allocation from the legislative appropriation is used for general support of the University. Students taking less than 12 hours will pay per credit hour. Students taking more than 18 credit hours will pay the tuition for full-time students as well as an additional per credit hour rate for each credit hour above 18 hours. Freshmen are required to live on campus and hold a carte blanche meal plan. A newly established $5,000.00 bonus will be awarded to current college sophomores who can pass the challenge of attending cadet basic training and accept the mission to lead the finest Soldiers in the world. Cost of attendance is the average cost to attend a college or university for the fall and spring semesters of one academic year. It includes tuition and registration or student services fees and an estimate of average costs for books and supplies, room and board, transportation, and personal expenses.
